Urban Summit 2019
The Urban Summit was the grand finale of the GreaterBayX scalerator program. This action-oriented gathering featured the eight world-class technology companies selected after a long and rigorous process from Australia, India, China and Europe. The intention was to bring their market-proven mobility-related solutions to the region’s innovation ecosystem and positively impact the trend of urbanization. The scale-ups were joined on stage by a diverse and exciting group of thought-leaders and influencers to explore business, investment and growth opportunities across the Greater Bay Area.

Highlights of the Summit included a keynote speech from David Chung, Under Secretary of the Innovation & Technology Bureau of The HKSAR Government.
We also had Eric Chan, Chief Public Mission Officer of Cyberport to lead a panel discussion on the development of urban tech in the Greater Bay. Duncan Chiu, Chief Representative of Hengqin Economic & Trade Representative Office joined us as well to share his insight on the innovation policies offered by the Hengqin Free Trade Zone.
Top executives from Microsoft, Siemens, MTR, HYDATA took part in the discussion on cross-border investment and innovation, as the eight growth-stage mobility scale-ups introduced their market-proven solutions to positively impact urbanization.
